The bonsai root rake is designed to help remove soil from around the root base of the bonsai gently. It can be used to loosen the soil as well as remove surface weeds.

It also has a spatula on the other side to assist you with removing the bonsai from its old pot, as well as patting down soil around the roots and trunk.
