It prefers bright, indirect light and will perform best in a well-lit position away from harsh direct sunlight. Gentle morning or late afternoon sun can be tolerated, but strong midday sun may scorch the leaves.
Position in a warm room away from cold drafts or sudden temperature changes. Monstera enjoys moderate humidity levels and benefits from occasional misting or placement in naturally humid areas. Rotate occasionally to encourage balanced growth and even leaf development.
Watering
No strict schedule — watering needs vary depending on light levels, room temperature, humidity, and pot size.
Allow the top 2–3cm of soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly until excess drains from the bottom, and never allow the plant to sit in standing water. Reduce watering during autumn and winter.
Prune during the growing season (spring and summer) to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Simply trim above a leaf node using clean, sharp tools.
Wipe leaves occasionally with a damp cloth to remove dust and maintain their natural glossy appearance.
