It prefers bright, indirect light, but can tolerate some gentle morning or late afternoon sun. Avoid harsh direct midday sunlight, as this can scorch the leaves.
Position in a warm room away from cold drafts or sudden temperature changes. Rotate occasionally to encourage even growth.
Watering
No strict schedule — watering needs vary depending on light levels, room temperature, humidity, and pot size.
Allow the top 2–3cm of soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly until excess drains from the bottom, and never allow the plant to sit in standing water. Reduce watering during autumn and winter.
Feeding
Feed every two to four weeks from March to October with a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser. Reduce feeding during the dormant winter months.
Prune during the growing season (spring and summer) to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Simply trim above a leaf node using clean, sharp tools.
Wipe leaves occasionally with a damp cloth to remove dust and maintain their natural glossy appearance.
