As an outdoor bonsai in the UK, Olive Bonsai require a bright, sunny position such as a south-facing patio or sheltered garden spot. Plant in free-draining soil and water thoroughly, allowing the surface to dry slightly between waterings, as they dislike sitting in wet compost. While tolerant of light frost, they benefit from protection during prolonged or severe winter cold.
