Kyodama Bonsai Soil is a solid, grainy soil medium used extensively for growing bonsai trees. It provides exceptional drainage and is a long-lasting granular pebble that will not easily break down, which is important when trying to maintain soil structure in your pot due to its very high porosity and permeability. This is a very hard particle soil that helps promote vigorous root development.
Kyodama is suitable for use on its own or combined with Akadama as a soil mix. Typically, it is mixed at a ratio of 30-50%. It can be used on its own or can be mixed with other substrates such as Akadama, Kurodama or any other kind of soil suitable for Bonsais.
